Preschool Storytime

Storytime @ the Library

Wednesdays 10:30am January 13 – June 2
Each week we will read stories, play games, sing, and make a craft. Themes vary each week. Registration is not required, but is helpful. Storytimes are geared for 2-5 years old, but all children are welcome to attend. Feel free to come and go as a younger or diapered child needs. An adult is required to stay in the Library. NO Storytimes the week of Spring Break.

  • February 3 Feet – Be prepared to paint!
  • February 10 Love is in the Air – There will be special treats for all!
  • February 17 Birds
  • February 24 What’s that Smell? – Be prepared to use your nose!

  • March 10 Snakes
  • March 17 Spring
  • March 24 Pancakes – Come to enjoy a special, sticky treat!

  • April 7 In the Garden – Be prepared to play with dirt!

Storytime @ Little Lambs

Every other Thursday 9:30am January 14 – June 2
Come to Little Lambs PreSchool for Storytime! The theme will be the same as our Wednesday Storytime. Please register in advance for Storytime @ Little Lambs so enough supplies are available for all youth. An adult is required to stay for Storytime. NO Storytimes the week of Fall Creek Schools’ Spring Break.

Birth through Pre-School are welcome to attend our Free Programs! Child Care and Homeschooled youth of any age also welcome to participate!

Early Release / No School Day Activities

During the school year activities for school age kids are offered after school on early release days and on days when there is no school. Drop by the library for crafts, board games, and other fun activities!

Early Release Days

January 22 and February 26 1:30-3:30pm
Wii or Guitar Hero, snacks, crafts, and other activities will be available in the Village Hall. Registration is helpful. All ages are welcome. Adults/guardians are asked to please attend with children under age 8.

Spring Break @ Your Library

March 30 1:30 to 3:00pm
Hawaiian Hula Can’t go someplace tropical for Break? Then learn to hula, taste foods from Hawaii, and more at your local library! Registration is required, please. Adults/guardians are encouraged to attend with youth 8 and younger.

March 31 1:30 to 3:00pm
Game On! 1:30-3:00pm Apples to Apples, Scrabble Slam, Pictionary, and many more games will be available for you and your friends to play. Snacks will also be offered. Registration is recommended, please. Adults/guardians are asked to please attend with youth 8 and younger. Stop by anytime.

April 1 The Fool’s Dance 1:30 to 3:00pm
Put your dancing shoes on for an afternoon of Dance, Dance Revolution, snacks, and games! Everyone will also have a chance to make and take a Costume Ball Mask. Please register. Adults/guardians are encouraged to attend with 8 and younger. Stop in anytime.

As always, parents and guardians are encouraged to attend events with their children. Sign-up sheets will be located in the library about one month before each event.

We are currently looking for junior and adult volunteers who love kids, organizing supplies, or contacting businesses. Please visit or call the library for more information!

Book Discussion Group

Sponsored by the Friends of the Library, the Book Discussion Group reads one book about every 6 weeks. Discussion is held the third Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m. in the library. Everyone is welcome!

Adult Author Visits

The library regularly hosts local authors who read from and discuss their books. Books by visiting authors are available at the library before the visit. Come and meet some of the area's most talented authors.

Special Events

The library periodically sponsors community informational programs.
