We offer quality programming for a variety of ages, interests, and abilities. Programs are free and open to the public. Some programs do require advance registration. See below for more information.

Pre-School Story Time

10 am-11 am ages 3-5

Wednesday: Sept 12 & 26, Oct 10 & 24, Dec 12 & 26, Jan 9 & 23

Bring your littles and enjoy exciting stories, songs, activities, and more. Help your child develop a life-long love of reading by showing them just how fun it can be! Siblings welcome!

Baby/Toddler Story Time

10 am-11 am ages 0-3 year 

Wednesdays: Sept 19, Oct 3, 17 & 31, Dec 5 & 19, Jan 2 & 30

We’ll sing, bounce, dance, rhyme, and play together to help introduce and improve early learning skills, motor development, and a love of reading! Following Story Time there will be time to play! Sibling welcome!

Play N’ Learn

9:30 am-10:45 am ages 0-5

Tuesdays: Sept 4 & 18, Oct 2 & 16, Nov 6 & 20th

The Family Resource Center of Eau Claire invites you to family play group! A free, fun, and interactive time for children and their parents/caregivers. Each family will receive a free copy of the featured book and a snack.

Home School Club

1 pm-2:30 pm All ages

story, or something else to share about your summer!

Oct 30th: Fall Creek Area Fire District will be here to do a presentation on fire prevention for National Fire Prevention Month.

Nov 27: We will be taking a LIVE virtual-visit to a sea turtle rehabilitation hospital on South Padre Island, Texas.

Dec 18: Write a letter to a soldier and a Christmas craft!

Jan 29: A Naturalist from Beaver Creek Reserve will join us to present an Earth Talk followed by activities.

Movie Morning

Kick back and enjoy some popcorn and juice while watching a movie on the big screen! We will be showing newly released Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation!

Santa’s Mailbox

Drop off your letters to Santa at FCPL this year! Blank letters are available in the children’s area, all you have to do is bring your child in to fill one out. Be sure to include a return address so that Santa knows where to send his reply to. In order to receive a reply by Christmas, please drop off the letter by Dec. 18.


Life-Size Candy Land

Embrace the power of play! Navigate through our life-size Candy Land game board and receive a special treat at the end. Play anytime during regular library hours!




1000 Books Before Kindergarten

This FREE program encourages you to read 1,000 books to your child before they enter kindergarten, a goal experts say children need to help them learn to read independently. Stop by the library to register your child!
